Major Company seeks an accomplished professional to be a tax technical advisor/ resource for significant client engagements and a client relationship manager. Major responsibilities will include: Leveraging strong technical ability of stock and non-qualified retirement plans, as well as accounting knowledge in these areas and other employee benefit issues, to provide solutions to clients; Extensive development and maintenance of client relationships; Work closely with the other Tax professionals of the Company to provide benefits and compensation expertise; Develop new business and expand on opportunities with existing clients; Spear head many technical tasks such as: plan design, drafting and compliance reviews, implementation of plan mergers and terminations, review of government reports and filings, executive compensation and tax programs. Must have 8+ years of experience working with regulatory/compliance/technical aspects of non-qualified plans and stock based compensation arrangements in a law firm or consulting environment ; Experience with drafting, designing, testing, and modeling programs (e.g., golden parachute calculations, FAS 123R analysis); Strong tax research and analytical skills and experience working with complex tax issues; Strong potential or proven record of developing new business; Demonstrated client responsibility and/or management including handling client meetings and presentations as well as project management skills; Strong leader and team player; Ability to manage own workflow as well as oversee the work of others; Interest in developing new ways to apply analytical skills to business problems and working in multi-disciplined environment; JD or CPA required, with LL.M. Tax or Masters in Tax preferred. Comprehensive salary and benefits package.
